WHY THE CHILDREN SUFFER… Chas Mayfield

34“For our kings, our leaders, our priests, and our fathers have not kept Your Law. Or paid attention to Your commandments and Your admonitions with which You have [u]admonished them. 35“But they, in their own kingdom, With Your great goodness which You gave them, With the broad and rich land which You placed before them, Did not serve You or turn from their evil deeds. – Neh 9

Let us give some thought to what we are leaving for our children. Enough national debt to ensure our children are forced to pay exorbitant taxes to pay the debt for your monthly check from the govt. Let us give some thought to what we are leaving our children in the church. Low commitment. Compromise with the nations and the denominations. We have lived soft lives and have expected little to nothing out of our children. They wake and go to bed with little more than exercising their thumbs on their games. They spend no time studying the Word of God but know they want to be game developers or Tik Tok stars. Our generation has taught the children nothing will be expected of them and so they a terrified when they see little glimpses of the future that say otherwise.

God has riches ahead for us if we will till the land and cultivate the hearts of the coming generation. Yes, we have to bring our children up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. But what does that mean? We do not know because we have been told by the godless world what it must not mean. Children need to see true examples of faith in their moms and dads. Children need to be taught the ways of God to develop a sense of awe for God who is worthy of it. The Children need to learn to be productive, to bring to the world and to the home a net positive. They are not to be on the teats until 18 yrs of age. Wean them from dependency to be productive human beings. Teach them to be bold not timid. God did not give them the spirit of timidity, you did. Teach the children what is true and correct and then call on them to be leaders and not followers. I know, everyone can’t be a leader. Wrong. Everyone can be a leader because there are many who need someone to follow in the right way.

Parents, teachers, Elders, let’s lead our children in the right way. And let’s work hard to leave something for them lest they suffer for our sins.
